1. Your 180 days ADR date is here and there is no availability, do not panic. You can keep trying to secure that reservation through your my Disney experience. You can also call T-Rex itself at (407) 828-8739 and they can usually get you a reservation. T-Rex will also try to accommodate walk-ups.
2. T-Rex is owned and operated by Landry's. If you have a Landry's card make sure you mention it to them when making reservations on phone or via walk up as you get priority seating. If you do not have one ask your wait staff for more details as it does have some nice perks.
3. So you've walked up and now are waiting to be called and you have anxious children. Let them go play in the Discovery Dig where they can dig for bones. You can take them to inside the shopping area where they have great educational items, as well as souvenirs and Build-A-Dino. You can can also go in and look at all the animatronic dinosaurs but be aware if there are diners in that area and use manners so you do not disrupt their dinner.
4. The coolest place to eat while the meteor shower goes off is in the ice cave. You can ask to be seated in this area. You see less of the animatronic but the ice cave lights different colors. If you have a small one be aware that with the meteor shower and all the dinosaurs may be a little bit overwhelming for them.
5. T-Rex does offer the Disney Dining Plan. It is one table service per a person. However, T-Rex can be reasonable if you choose to pay out of pocket.
