Cooking Disney at Home - Flame Tree BBQ Sauce

We can't spend all of our time at Disney, so let's bring Disney to us.  Join us for re-creating Disney food at home.

Have you eaten at Flame Tree BBQ at Disney's Animal Kingdom?  Oh, it's good you should eat there.  We attempted to make the Flame Tree BBQ sauce, and it transported us right back to our last trip.  It's such an easy recipe.  Why on earth spend the money on bottles of barbecue sauce that are full of all kinds of strange ingredients, when you can make this at home?

Dump all the ingredients in a pan, and simmer.

Voila!  You have successfully made your very own Flame Tree BBQ Sauce.

1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Combine all ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan.  Bring to a simmer over medium heat.  Reduce the heat to low, and cook at a low simmer for 35 minutes, stirring frequently, or until thickened.

Use immediately or store covered in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
