There's a New Princess in Town!

A new princess will soon be joining the Disney Junior lineup! Earlier this week Disney executives introduced Elena of Avalor, "an enchanted fairytale princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore."

Young fans of Sophia the First will first be introduced to Elena, whose story is connected to the magical amulet Sophia wears, in an episode set to air sometime in 2016. This special episode will then usher in Elena's new series, created to fit in with the Disney Junior lineup.

Elena, who is described as confident, bold, caring, clever, and funny, will be voiced by Aimee Carrero of ABC Family's Young and Hungry. We'll be watching; will you?

Every day when 3:00 p.m. rolls around at Disney's Magic Kingdom in Disney World, it's time for Disney's Festival of Fantasy Parade.  Grab some popcorn or a mickey bar and sit down and enjoy your afternoon parade!
